Health Checks and Vaccinations

We recommend that both dogs and cats are vaccinated on an annual basis from 2-3 months of age.  A clinical health check is included in the price of all vaccinations. While some vaccines are not essential every year, others such as Leptospirosis (fatal and can be spread to humans) MUST be boosted every 12 months.

Please contact us for advice, on the correct vaccination protocol for your pet.

Laboratory

We have the latest in house equipment to give you results on most blood and urine tests within 20 minutes.

  • Biochemistry
  • Haematology
  • Urinalysis

Surgery

We use similar drugs and gas anaesthesia to human hospitals, thus ensuring the safety of your pet.

Older pets are blood tested for liver and kidney function, pre-anaesthesia and placed on i/v fluids during the procedure and in recovery.

  • Routine neutering
  • Soft tissue surgery
  • Caesareans
  • Orthopaedic

Dermatology

We have in house facilities to test for ringworm and microscopy for diagnosing skin parasites.

Radiography

Our in house digital x-ray facilities provide us with crystal clear imagery within minutes.

Dentistry

Many pets require routine ultra-sound descaling and polishing to maintain healthy gums and teeth.

Examination of the mouth and teeth form part of your pets annual health check and we will recommend any products you should be using or treatments required.

All our staff are qualified to advise you on the best nutrition for your pet.

We stock only premium quality food (Royal Canin and Calibra).

Pet Passports

For pets travelling within Europe, we can now issue the passport on your first visit. Though it is important to remember that you cannot travel until after 21 days from issue.

Our staff will advise you on travel protocols and veterinary controls.
